Last Saturday the LOML came home saying he saw signs for a new winery and asked if I wanted to check it out. Without any hesitation, we loaded up the pup and headed out towards Uvas Reservoir following the signs strategically placed along the route. The final sign directed us up a dirt road that opened up into a beautiful clearing where Ross Vineyards and Winery tasting room is located.
The winery owners, Judy and Jerry Ross, were so welcoming and hospitable. The tasting table was staffed by their equally charming grandson, Jim, who lives on the property and works with his grandfather on wine production. That day the tasting table was located outside of an old, rustic barn full of historic picture of previous owners. When weather is less clement they can move the tastings into the barn. While the tasting room may be modest, the views are stunningly beautiful and the ambience is peaceful making for a very inviting and relaxing atmosphere.
